Professional Bag Restoration & Leather Recolouring

Restoration goes beyond cleaning. Where cleaning removes dirt, restoration rebuilds what time and use have taken away — colour, suppleness, edge finish and structure. A tired, faded bag that no longer earns a place on your arm can be brought back to a piece you are proud to carry again, often for a fraction of its replacement cost.

Bags We Restore

• Designer leather — Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermes, Gucci, Prada — recoloured and reconditioned to proprietary finishes.
• Everyday leather — totes, crossbodies, briefcases and backpacks brought back from dryness and fade.
• Suede & nubuck — nap lifted, colour refreshed and protected with specialist dry processes.
• Exotic skins — python, croc and ostrich re-oiled and colour-corrected with scale-safe products.
• Canvas & coated canvas — monogram and coated finishes recoloured at trims, piping and corners.
• Vintage & heirloom — aged and inherited pieces carefully revived without erasing character.

What Restoration Corrects

Faded and sun-bleached colour is rebuilt with matched leather dyes for an even, lasting finish. Dry, cracked leather is deep-conditioned to restore moisture and flexibility. Scuffs, scratches and corner wear are filled, recoloured and sealed. Worn edge paint and piping is stripped and re-applied for a crisp outline. Tarnished or plated hardware is polished or re-plated. Misshapen, collapsed bags are reshaped and re-supported.

Our Restoration Process

1. Assessment & quote — we evaluate colour loss, leather condition and hardware; the final quote is confirmed on inspection, before any work starts.
2. Deep-clean prep — the surface is cleaned and stripped so dye and conditioner bond properly.
3. Colour matching — dyes are mixed and tested on a hidden area to match the original exactly.
4. Re-dye & recolour — colour is built up in thin, even coats for a natural, durable finish.
5. Conditioning — premium conditioners restore moisture, suppleness and sheen.
6. Edge & hardware finishing — edge paint renewed, hardware polished or re-plated, and structure reshaped.

Making a Restoration Last

Condition leather every couple of months to keep it supple and colour-stable. Store bags out of direct sunlight and stuffed with shapers so they hold their form. Keep them in breathable dust bags, never plastic. Treat spills immediately. With regular care, a professional restoration holds for years — and can be refreshed periodically rather than repeated in full.
